Candied Oats & Nuts

Ingredients Servings: 7-8
1 cup walnuts or pecans
1 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon oil
¼ cup sugar
2 tablespoons honey
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
Get out a baking sheet and line it with foil. Spread a little bit of the oil onto the foil.
Get out a medium saucepan and add the oil, cinnamon, sugar, and salt. Stir. Bring the mixture to a boil using high heat.
Add the oats and nuts. Continue to cook mixture and continuously stir for 2 minutes.
Add the mixture to the foil on the baking sheet. Make sure to spread it thinly and do not have any large clumps.
Bake the mixture for 6-7 minutes. Flip mixture. Bake for another 6-7 minutes.
Take out of oven and let mixture cool for about 15 minutes. Break into pieces and serve.
